Pennsylvania Local Government Bill of Rights

PSAB’s partner local government organization, the Pennsylvania State Association of Township Supervisors, has created the Pennsylvania Local Government Bill of Rights to join advocacy efforts behind a core set of principles.

Those 5 core principles are:

1.           Local Communities Should Guide Local Decisions

2.           Land Use and Zoning Belong in Local Hands

3.           Protecting Local Governments from Unfunded Mandates

4.           Modernizing Public Notice Mandates

5.           Encouraging cooperation and local government’s perspectives on proposed regulations and legislation
