Greenways Trails and Recreation

The Marcellus Legacy Fund allocates funds to the Commonwealth Financing Authority for the planning, acquisition, development, rehabilitation and repair of greenways, recreational trails, open space, parks and beautification projects using the Greenways, Trails, and Recreation Program (GTRP). Grants shall not exceed $250,000 for any project and a 15% match of the total project cost is required.

 Uses include projects which involve development, rehabilitation and improvements to public parks, recreation areas, greenways, trails, and river conservation. Eligible entities include:

·      For-Profit Businesses

·      Municipalities

·      Councils of Governments

·      Authorized Organization

·      Institution of Higher Education

·      Watershed Organization
