Online Auction for Surplus PennDOT Equipment

The Pennsylvania Department of General Services (DGS) today announced an upcoming online auction that will give the public an opportunity to bid on a wide range of surplus Commonwealth equipment, including dump trucks, off-road equipment, and other heavy machinery previously used by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT).

The municipal auction will run from July 14 through July 28. The public auction will open July 29 and continue through Aug. 14, providing local governments, businesses, and Pennsylvanians the opportunity to purchase high-quality, state-owned surplus equipment.

The auction will be conducted entirely online through GovDeals, where the full inventory will be posted before the sale begins. Interested buyers must register with GovDeals before browsing available items, scheduling an inspection by appointment, and placing bids through the secure online platform.
