The Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund Grants for Public Library Facilities Program

December 6th, 2021

The Keystone Recreation, Park, and Conservation Fund Grants for Public Library Facilities Program currently funds new construction, rehabilitation, planning, and land and building acquisition for new and existing public library facilities. The feedback of public library facilities and municipalities throughout the Commonwealth is essential to ensuring that the Program can most effectively meet the capital needs of the Commonwealth's public library facilities. The Pennsylvania Department of Education, Office of Commonwealth Libraries has engaged Delta Development Group, Inc. (Delta) to conduct the Keystone Needs Assessment Survey. The survey results will be integrated into a 3-5 year long-range plan for the allocation of financial assistance through the Keystone Grant for Public Library Facilities. Questions will vary based on respondent type and the brief survey is open to all public libraries, library systems, municipalities, and counties. The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs urges members to participate to ensure their voices are heard so that state policymakers will be better informed during their planning process.
