The PSAB Deferred Compensation Plan is a unique supplemental retirement program available to your municipal employees at no cost to the municipality. The Plan allows employees to utilize before-tax savings in a deferred compensation plan, thus lowering income tax exposure and enhancing retirement savings. Municipal employees can save up to 25% of their income each year without having to pay federal taxes on the amount they save. In addition, interest earnings accumulated are tax-deferred. Potential participants are advised to consult with an accountant or licensed financial advisor before investing.
