The Pennsylvania State Association of Boroughs has created an on-line discussion service for borough council, the mayor, the secretary and the manager. The Borough Discussion Group allows member boroughs to communicate with other members about borough issues such as policies, procedures, ordinances, the Borough Code, etc.
To pose a question, the member must register with the list serve manager, at bdgadmin@boroughs.org or by registering at PSAB's web site at www.boroughs.org, by selecting the option, Discussion Group. Every subscriber will be verified prior to placement on the list server.
PSAB will monitor the membership and content on a regular basis to insure compliance with the restrictions. PSAB is not responsible for the views/ideas expressed by any subscriber to the Borough Discussion Group. In the event, false information is provided we will step in to correct it, but no answer provided by the subscribers or PSAB will constitute legal opinion. I swear that I am a borough official (elected member of council, mayor, secretary or manager) and my borough is a member of PSAB.

I will not use vulgar language and I will not write derogatory comments about my-fellow officials or my bosses.

I will not send graphics because they may contain viruses and take up excessive space.

I will abide by the policy not to discuss salaries/benefits on-line.

I agree to provide a copy of any sample ordinance, policy to PSAB, that I am providing to the members of the BDG.

I recognize that if I violate any of the above, then I will be removed from the Borough Discussion Group.
